Please answer this poll, as it is useful in finding out what characters people think Michael Afton are. (I haven't put down Eggs Benedict or the FFPS protagonist because we all know that they are Michael).

The Crying Child is the FNaF 4 Protagonist, both in the minigames, and during the night.
Well that's the thing, the Logbook features a drawing of Nightmare Fredbear by Michael under "recent dreams"... so yeah i dunno.
But he is also in Sister Location because when asked what he wants for his one week bonus he doodles pictures of a basket exotic butters and a basket of cash. Also the cutscene at the end of Sister Location Custom Night goes as follows:
Father. It's me, Michael. I did it. I found it. It was right where you said it would be. They were all there. They didn't recognize me at first but then they thought I was you. And I found her. I put her back together, just like you asked me to. She's free now. But something is wrong with me. I should be dead. But I'm not. I've been living in shadows. There is only one thing left for me to do now. I'm going to come find you. I'm going to come find you."
There he explicitly says "It's me, Michael"
But how can we tie it to Sister Location (besides it being in SL:CN)? Well, he says "I put her back together." referencing how he helped Baby, he says "But something is wrong, I should be dead, but I am not." referencing how he got his organs removed by Ennard, and finally he says "At first they didn't recognise me." and one of the firstlines Baby says in SL is "I don't recognise you"
It is confusing nonetheless, but I think that in this case, the word "Recent" can be thrown out (unless we assume he is still having these nightmares). There are a lot of other things, in the logbook, that indicate Micheal would be older than the Crying Child (i.e a passage of time). Like how he had to fill out an incident report, the previously mentioned weekly bonus, and the fact that the title would says "Security Logbook" but then 'Security' is crossed out and replaced with 'Survival.' A security logbook would be given to someone working in security and to hold that position, he would need to be AT LEAST 18 (assuming this takes place in America (which chances are it does, as the paychecks use dollars and not some other currency like Euro, the minimum wage rates line up with America's minimum wage rates for the given year, and finally, America is where you'd be most likely to find a Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria.)
TL:DR Many things point to Michael being both the Crying Child and Sister Location's Michael and the logbook Michael.
Sorry it is so long, I just wanted to be thorough in my explanation.
Fair enough, you're right to be thorough. Here's my take on it:
Michael Afton is definitely the Mike from the Logbook and thus is Mike Schmidt. However there's nothing that indicates he is the CC, as having the FNaF 4 nightmares doesn't mean it's set around 1983. It could very easily take place after FNaF 1, as it would explain why the Nightmares moved in the same way as FNaF 1, as well as the distorted Phone Guy call from FNaF1, the one mentioning the Bite of 87, being used as ambience. We can establish that Mike heard the call mentioning the Bite of 87, and was reminded of the Bite of 83. As well as this, he went through a traumatising Night Shift, and thus began to imagine he was a scared and alone child, in his old bedroom, being attacked by monsters. After all the CC bedroom and the FNaF 4 one are completely different, meaning Michael and the CC may not be the same person.
Micheal you play as in all the games obvious
That's the thing, he's definitely in SL and FFPS, and probably in FNaF 1 and 4, but we don't know if he's the protagonist(s) of FNaF 2 and 3. I mean odour isn't exactly good evidence in my eyes, and there's no way odour was meant as anything other than a joke at the time the games were made.
watch game theory's theory about it
and the crying child is Micheal
That's just one possible explanation, you're going with yours, and I'm going with mine. Just don't act like it's confirmed, unless word of Scott does confirm it.
